    Hunter x Hunter: Greed Island

    Welcome to GREED ISLAND

I will now explain the rules of the game. In this game whoever has the ring can use two spells.
    Book and Gain
By reaching the hand with the ring on it and saying the word Book, a binder(book) will appear in front of you.

    Spoiler:

Saying it again will cause the book to disappear. All items including monsters in this game can be converted in cards. This binder is used to hold these various cards. The goal of GREED ISLAND is to complete the binder. By opening the binder to the first page, you can see that each card slot in the binder has a number and are known as "specified card slots." Each slot from 000-099 can only have the card with the matching number on it be placed in that slot. At the back of your binder you will see 45 slot with no numbers on them known as "free slots" and any card can be placed in them. Remember the goal is to complete the binder's 000-099 slots with the specified cards.

Now when you collect an item in the game like a rock, it automatically turns into a card. If you place the card into the book, it cannot be used as a weapon. However, by using the spell Gain you can use the rock again, but you will be unable to turn it back into a card. So if you want another rock card, you'll need to find another rock. When you collect a card you have up till one minute to place it into your book. If you do not, the card will turn back into the item it was and will not become a card again. Most items have a limited number of cards.

Also, be cautions. If you die in the game you die for real! And your ring and book will also disappear so that would suck too. There are more rules and things to discover while playing the game so good luck!

All new players of Greed Island were told this upon entering the game and since then, have moved on to explore this large game. By now, they have all realized how real this game feels and how serious of a game this can be. All hunters can start their first post in various locations in Greed Island including forest and mountain areas which can be good spots for training or holding meetings and trading with other players. There are other towns and cities on the island, but they will be revealed upon exploring the island. From there you have your own objective in this game and can play it how you want.

Map of Greed Island and Locations

    Spoiler: The City of Prize
The walls in the city are pasted up with very many reward posters. Every few days, a major contest is held here in which the winner is rewarded with a specified slot card. Others

Masadora - Northwest Area of Greed Island
    Spoiler: Magic City
The spell cards are only sold here from the spell card shop. With 10,000 Jenny, one can buy 3 random spell cards in the spell card shop. Many players who have given up on the game come to this city to look for a Leap card to get out of the island.

    NPCs:
    Rapstar
    Hubert
    Negi
    Others

Aiai - Southwestern Area of Greed Island

Everything dies. You. Me. Everyone on this planet. Our sun. Our galaxy, and, eventually, the universe itself. This is simply how things are. It's inevitable... And I accept it. What I will not tolerate-- what I find unacceptable-- is going quietly, like some mewling child, before my time. There is something out there, coming for us, trying to kill us all-- And I would do to it what it would do to us. Brothers. Sisters...will you help me kill worlds?

    Antokiba

The taverns was bustling with activity, as players and NPC's gathered to drink and party, almost forgetting they were inside of a game where there were no re-spawns. Gin sat quietly in a corner on a slightly raised platform, giving him a perfect view of everything going on in the tavern. He was new to the game, not quite sure what to expect, so Antokiba was the first place he stumbled upon. His face stayed stoic, but he nervously toyed with his Hunter Card in his pocket, thinking about his next move. There was a loud slam on the table he was sitting at, which startled him enough to where his card fell from his pocket and on to the ground. The food he ordered had arrived, but he had been so caught up in his thoughts that he didn't even realize the cook was next to him. Not wanting to draw too much attention, he simply placed his foot over the card, never looking down directly at it. Grabbing his fork, he studied the food in front of him. The plate was well decorated, giving off a pleasant scent, filling his nostrils soothingly, while the roasted duck had been cooked to perfection from the looks of it. Grabbing a knife with his other hand, he cut in to the bird effortlessly, slicing off a well-portioned piece of the body. Slowly, as if savoring every moment, he bit into poultry letting the juice cascade down his chin... but, "Dry." he said as he chewed his food, swallowing in an exaggerated way. "Your presentation is nice, but your cooking seems to be... lacking."

Gin was great at not drawing attention to himself most of the time, but when it came to food he could not control his brutal honesty. On a practical level. he knew he had done the opposite of what he intended, he knew subconsciously by ordering food that this would happen, but logic would always escape him when it came to food. But that's just who he was, for better or worse, and he made no move to avoid eye contact with the chef after trashing their cooking ability.

Duke had just arrived in Greed island, and the obvious conclusion was to head to the nearest town, which stood out like a Christmas tree to him because of all the various colours of nen. Surprisingly, a lot of people in the city seemed rather week, but I suppose it isn't too unexpected since they were people still sticking around the starting area of the game. There was a lot he didn't know for now, but one thing was certain. He needed to find potential allies in case he made enemies, which he had a bit of a knack for. He ordered some food while scouting the area. He was looking for people with decently powerful nen, but also avoiding transmuters and enhancers. Duke had read a lot of books on the relation between personality and nen specialization. They were far from 100% accurate, but a guideline none the less. enhancers tend to be not the brightest bunch, while transmuters are prone to be deceitful, neither of which seemed like prime candidacy for partnership.

Not very far into his search, he noticed a conjurer yelling at his vendor that seemed decently powerful. "Lucky!" he grabbed the food he was eating and headed over to the man. Conjurers were pretty rare, and their abilities could be incredibly unique. Unlike the other classes, knowing one is a conjurer tells you almost nothing about the way they fight. "You know, he's just an NPC, dissing his food won't help anything." he'd mumble while walking over, failing to introduce himself as he wasn't really a man of proper etiquette. "Besides, I think it's pretty good." he'd continue, before taking a bite.

Hikari, in a rather gender neutral outfit, was enjoying his first meal after arriving on Greed Island. He had made way for the nearest city from his entry point, which seemed to be the usual course of action one took upon entering this game. He is keen to have people get along if possible, and so when his meal was interrupted by a loud complaint from one of the other customers, his first reaction was to try and calm the situation down. He grabbed his food, and walked towards the commotion's source, a rowdy looking gentlemen with long black hair. Before Hikaru managed to reach him, another man had approached. This one had short maroon hair. Hikaru grew increasingly nervous, and fidgeted his way towards the two gentlemen. He approached them just as the maroon haired man was stating that the chef was an NPC, so complaints were useless. Before he started speaking to them, Hikaru fidgeted around some more, before looking directly into the eyes of the black haired man.

"E-even if he's an NPC, it's not nice to talk down to someone. I... I'm sure he's doing the best he can!"

Hikaru's nervousness translated to a rather cute and innocent look on his face, whilst his eyes were glowing with purity. Completely the opposite of how the black haired man was behaving at the moment. It was very much easy to mistake him as a girl at this point, despite being 16 and having gone through puberty already.

    Sei - Antokiba

The sounds of multiple gun shots ringing from the building had attracted Sei to this place who had spent most of his time learning how the game works. The realistic NPCs in particular fascinated him like nothing else. One thing he wanted to see was if they could be interacted with in a violent way. Most RPG type games this island was based off didn't allow the players to attack bystander NPCs and he really wanted to find out if that was true or not for this game, but for some reason, he thought that shooting at them on random was a terrible idea. He didn't want to start testing out the patience of the game masters before he could even learn more about this place. So he just decided to play around with the Gain ability for a bit, which was still pretty amazing in its own right, and then head on over to this place with such an attractive sound.

    Bullet Fool Community

It read on the top of the building and he was already interested. One look in and it was as if he was home. It was essentially a club of gun enthusiasts; a gun shop combined with shooting range combined with gun exhibition.

"Ahh, home sweet home" He said after taking a deep breath and then exhaling it.

From the nearest NPCs, he found out that he could actually join the place and get a membership card. Sei was obviously interested and later found out from the dude running the counter that there was an initiation test. All he had to do was fire an X number of bullets from a single revolver in X amount of time. A test of quickness, accuracy and reloading speed. Nothing too difficult for Sei as he passed with flying colors, earning a membership card with his picture that read:

Noticing the blank expressing on the NPC's face, the slight flame in Gin's eyes started to slowly fade just as it had began. He realized Nen had been leaking out from him and his hair started to raise, quickly subsiding once the energetic man's voice rang true in his ears. His eyes slowly, lazily shifted from the NPC to the new players appearance. He studied the man in who was walking towards them, his eyes half closed, giving off no sign of heightened emotion. "Ahh... true." He watched as the player took a bite out of the duck he had ordered, not judging him for the lack of a palate, knowing that years of cooking had made his tastes buds exceptionally sensitive. He realized that he sounded like a snob, which was really the opposite, as he appreciated all types of food and regretted speaking harshly. He began to speak again when he saw the androgynous, uh... being, approach as well.

"I think... you are both correct. In penance, I'd like to show you my abilities. Would you like to try my cooking?" He stood abruptly, casually flipping his license into the air, grabbing it as it spun around. For the first time, he cracked a half-smile which looked awkward with his tired eyes. "Ah... Name's Gin Saiba... osu."

Hikaru was pleasantly surprised. The black haired gentleman, who had introduced himself as Gin Saiba, was rather forthcoming about his error in judgement. He had even offered to let Hikaru and the man next to him sample his cooking. Hikaru took a look at the food he had brought over, but had yet to finish. It was a decent plate of curry, but it wasn't anything to write home about. He was very interested in trying food from someone who seemed so confident in his cooking abilities, but he would not disappoint even an NPC, and so... He came to a quick decision regarding the matter.

"I would love to... But, I'm sorry, I can't. I need to finish the food I ordered before hand first, and I'm afraid that once I do, I will no longer have room in my tummy for any more food. Oh! Where are my manners? You've gone and introduced yourself, but I've yet to do the same! My name is Hikaru, nice to meet you Saiba!"

Hikaru would continually steal glances at his plate of curry, showcasing a bit of regret as he did, but unless one was paying extremely close attention, they would be unable to notice anything different. He was very good at hiding his true feelings regarding certain matters.

Just as Duke had been planning to get to know the strange cook, a third party showed up out of the blue. He seemed rather small, which was a surprise as he wasn't particularly large himself. This one seemed to be of the same type, making them even more dangerous were they to become enemies. "Are you two friends?" he'd ask based on the rather casual approach, which would quickly be proven wrong by the introduction statements that followed. Duke was pretty interested in the offer for food, even though he wasn't particularly hungry. He didn't like to eat a lot, but he did love good food. He didn't get to much of it however because his mother was a terrible cook, which only emphasized his appreciation for it. "lets see, how about we make a deal. Since you seem so confident in your cooking, if I find your food worse than the NPC chef over there, you have to eat my cooking." he'd suggest with a laugh. He had a habit of making bets about everything, although this one was mostly lacking in ulterior motives compares to his usual schemes. Of course he'd accept the offer to eat regardless in high hopes as the man seemed quite confident.

The NPC chef known as Cat Chef was quietly observing the newly formed group of people who were talking about his food. Normally an NPC wouldn't bother listening in on players, but Cat Chef was a bit different. Certain conditions were being met that had caused something to change in hsi regular routine. The first was the black haired individual who had said mean things about his food. Dry...lacking. The husky feline chef would continue to observe the group as another fellow would compliment him on his cuisine. Pretty good. Another one, a bit smaller than the first two would seem to take pity on Cat Chef's cooking causing his face to scrunch up. The best he can? Cat Chef would then approach the long black haired player very closely and spoke to him. You! You are a cook you say? Cat Chef would get on his knees and and bow in front of Gin. Oh please! I need your assistance! I am a new chef at this restaurant and I have been unable to produce something that makes customers excited to eat my cooking! But first I would like to see how you cook! If I think it's great then I will tell you what I need help with! Cat Chef would now stand hovering above Gin waiting for his answer with his teeth showing clearly as though he would eat the group if they did not participate.

Gin observed both players personalities, noticing how strikingly opposite they were. Hikaru had made haste to introduce itself, subtly upset about denying his offer of food. While the other man had skipped the introductions and gone straight into a bet. Taking a deep breath inward he slowly released the air as if he were meditating, he reached into his pocket, simultaneously putting his license away while pulling a black bandana out, decorated with flames. "You're on-" His voice was interrupted by the feline chef bowing before him, making him flinch a little. The chefs plea pulled a string at Gin's heart, as he was always willing to help someone better themselves in the art of cooking. But, Gin also recognized they were in a game, and nothing was as it seemed. "Let the game... begin, I guess."

    The Kitchen

His knife worked like magic, skillfully slicing and dicing vegetables one after another. The heavy aroma would fill the entire tavern, perhaps even drawing in customers from outside of the bar. Gin was in his element, this was where he belonged. Common theory of nen suggests that some people innately draw their power out by being exceptionally skilled at something or having mastered it, and that is the column Gin Saiba fell into. He had been cooking long before he discovered the true nature of nen, he didn't need it to create art. It would seem as no time at all had passed when he came back from the kitchen, the door to the dining area bursting open, an outpour of flavor engulfing the room. This is the kind of cooking that could drive men mad, making them fight over it as if they were fighting for gold. He sat the dish in front of Cat Chef, the metal cover still keeping it concealed, and he could feel a thousand eyes piercing through him as he slowly lifted the cover. A rather sizeable crowd had gathered at this point, and the third flavor explosion erupted.

The steam from the dish settled, revealing Gin's face, which looked like it had been transformed. Those lazy eyes were now sharp and slightly evil, and his half smile was pulled back into a wild grin, showing his teeth. As if possessed by a demon, he spoke. "Cat Chef! Weep as you gluttonously bite into my dish, Pork Roast!" There was a small saucer set to the side, with a equally small ladle dipped into it. Gin generously poured the sauce on top his dish, which would further enhance it's flavor.
