"A craven woman... help? Seriously?" The Duke responded in Ama's following, a pained laugh in her tone.

Vapor trails would guide the ever following Ama who tried to keep up, but the words from the Duke would slap her in the face. The Duke knew enough to see Ama had fled prior. The fearful words of warning were enough for any to figure that out. Sentiment was not going to be in the spore woman's favor, once they reached the shaft and its end.

"Hrm. You want to be used? Go."

Ama would be before the open door again, her shroom keeping up pace. A chance again, at retribution. A chance to save Suu. A singular chance, that would end with Ama looking up to the elevator's frame, to find Suu bolting through the door of the elevator. The slime would most certainly collide with Ama, who had escaped over the head of her potential consumer.

A strange tale, that was. Keeled over and sick, the Color out of Space would not think to rise to stop Suu. Recovering, true, but she would jerk beneath the slime, ensuring she did not 'eat' the attack. This would not have harmed Cassilda or forced her over the brink, but even someone with a vomitous hangover would avoid more of their poison.

Left behind was the ever tinier Suu. A Suu that aimed to stave off the evil of Cassilda long enough so she could live. Ever abstract, the Suu charged. It wasn't much of a charge, given their position of being maybe a few yards seperated, but tiny Suu was adamant. A shadow above Suu would stop her, however.

The assassin, from his knickers, pulled a small jar. Large enough to hold in Suu, the tiny decoy Suu. The jar slammed over the tiny Suu, leaving her sealed.

    "You've done enough, little one."

The man would turn, facing the elevator, looking through the door way over the recovering Cassilda.

At the elevator's door, not hindered by a falling slime, was the Duke. Her back was to Ama, looking down with a lone, cold eye. The movement was ever so sudden, a possitive glow around the Duke's own body.

"Save her, craven." A voice said, different from the rasping breath of the mouth breather Duke had.

Given a command from a complete stranger, Ama was left to watch. Perhaps she could move forward, but would she have wanted to was a better question. Vapor around Duke's hands solidified, appearing as gauntlets. These gauntlets would flicker, emitting a blast of blinding light. If Ama stayed with the ever smaller, weakened Suu, she would see the elevator doorway was blockaded. A barrier of light, glowing brilliantly, kept a seal.

Confusion was bound to result. What and why and where and how. Perhaps for Ama this was something unthinkable, for Suu unknowable, but for others an aside into something darker. Whatever the result, the elevator below would sound, grinding with echoes. When it crashed it would do so marvelously; the way was clear.

Struggling was all Torgue could do. Pain wrapped and warped his mind, leaving him no escape. The evolvers continued to focus on him, cackling in their bug voices. Taking advantage of his great pain, a tyrant lumbered closer. The one with four clubs and a body seemingly layered
    with arcs of spongy material.

Torgue would fight his painful head ache with a bit of flashback. Wholseome, truthful, powerful. Enough to give Torgue a chance, using his haki to once more stagger his foes. All he needed was a blip of thought, of safety from the aneurism.

To Torgue's utter dismay, one brain evolver, precariously over where the elevator had been before it broke down, acted now like it did the small grunts, but to its brethren. The haki would go out, knocking the weaker, more feral and tiny evolvers, but the brains would remain. Laughing in their evil, wicked tongues.

"We... are one... sharing... growing... while you... are none."

The tyrant spoke, cackling. The other tyrants, those that bothered to approach Togue, joined. A hive mind was a terrible thing to face. Torgue's attempt would go for naught... until fate played a strange hand. An elevator came crashing through the heght of the ceiling, soaring through the air, before crashing where Torgue had left off. Landing right into the one brain evolver that kept the conqueror's haki at bay, the elevator would squish it with both mass and devastation. A hole, from elevator hitting elevator, would reveal itself amidst ruination from Torgue's prior explosion.

For only a blip, Torgue's headache would become tolerable. Still raging, but finally not impossibly distracting. The bugs were staggered, it had seemed, from the remnant of Torgue's conquerors. Without their shield, needing a new one, this was one of Torgue's few moments of clarity.

"It means what it means. What else would it mean? Distractions. Hrm?"

Cage's question played the pronoun game. No specifics, only generalities. This aspect confused Xi, as meaning was meaning. Cage did not get what it meant, but there was no way for the scientist who floated to boil it down any more. However, Xi had a thought. Looking at Cage, he'd approach.

Harmless, the masked spectre would gaze into Cage's muscles. An idea had been born, though what could it mean for Cage was to be seen.

"You. Yes. It won't be enough. But. Maybe."

Staring longingly at the muscles of Cage, the specter would gather itself and float to a terminal. Hacking away with clicks and clacks, a small screen would pop open from the terminal. Xi continued until finally his fervor faded. All that was left was a screen that flashed green. A wretched sound from the elevator shaft would call out, and the elevator that stopped was now plummeting. Whatever held it in place had severed, and its crash would be bittersweet.

    "Mizizi. I need a favor."

The old man, ignored to this point, left Rohan's side to approach Xi. The matter was to be private, so much that the translator that had been helping Xi speak also silenced. A few words were all that was needed for Mizizi's eyes to open wide. Nodding, eyes returning to normal, Mizizi would depart to the elevator shaft.

"He won't be happy, but I accept."

    "Good."

In a flicker, Mizizi was gone. Soru, geppou, and a bit of old man awesomeness was all Cage needed to see. Xi turned to Cage once more, this time with a request and a few things in hand.

"I cannot waste any more time. Please, go into the elevator shaft. The fall will be great. Yes. But you are needed. The exploding man needs you."

Seriousness was brought to the table. A name was not given, but Cage would know who that was. Whatever it was this alien wanted Cage to do, it involved Torgue. Should Cage accept, he'd be doing it blind but in faith. A strange contraption filled with goop was given to Cage. It was green, and it glowed. Pretty to the eyes, but certainly alien.

"Smash this into the ground if you need the cushion. It will expand. Rapidly. Tastes sweet. Very nutritious. Might make you... female. Don't eat."

The canister of strange goop was given to cage. Lables meant nothing, given the language it was written in. An unknown thing, through and through. Thankfully, Xi gave Cage warnings on what it could do. Xi would return to a table, to lean against it as he bobbed up and down. If Cage had anything else, or refused, now was the time.

"No win. Already lost... but... we can... ****a him." The last parts of Xi's words were in garbled common, an attempt to bond with Cage despite the two being absolute strangers.

    Cage

Cage got a response, but not an answer, which was somewhat what he expected. Though, Xi would stare at Cage afterward, it was a look Cage had seen so many times before. It seemed the stage man would hatch a plan, one that involved Cage as so many have done before. The alien typed away at a computer before sharing a secret conversation with Mizizi.

At this point, Mizizi left and Cage was left with Xi. The alien told Cage he too would have to go down the shaft, and that Torgue was in need of assistance.

"Exploding man, huh?? Damn. Old bastard probably went and exploded something he wasn't supposed to."

Cage was trying to take the advice of Red and avoid being used by those around him, but this wasn't applicable. Torgue needed help, and Cage was sent to his rescue. With the goop in have, Cage made his way over to the elevator shaft. Xi had one last set of words for Cage.

"I don't quite get ya, but I know you mean well. If I die, tell Duke to tell Delilah she's not invited to my funeral."

And with that Cage jumped down the elevator shaft. He knew not whether Xi even knew of Duke or Delilah, but it mattered not. With a leap he jumped to the opposite side of the shaft, using his grip to slow the fall as he had done before. Once he picked up too much speed, he'd kick off the wall, jumping to the opposite side and doing the same.
Here could've used the goop, but Cage felt like there'd be another use for it somewhere.

However long it took him to reach the bottom, Cage would eventually reach it. It wasn't gonna be a pretty landing, given the condition of his leg, but it wouldn't kill him. With a Crash Cage would reach the bottom, where he'd look around to see what awaited him.

Amanita, Suu, Duke, Cassilda - Elevator Shaft(ed)

Amanda followed the Duke through the elevator, even though the latter was quite a bit faster than the captain. In fact, once she reached the doors, Suu was already on her way out. Amanda, almost instinctively, reached out to grab onto the slime vice-admiral. She'd place her on the shroom that was holding the both of them up. Something was strange; Suu was smaller than before. A glimpse into the room where the Duke and Cassilda were facing off revealed another, smaller Suu being stopped by the duke. She called out to Amanda to save Suu, and Amanda, not thinking to question what was happening, only nodded and grabbed the jar that held the smaller Suu. Figuring the Duke knew what she was doing, Amanda reunited the two Suu's. She glanced at the Duke again. This didn't take long, because only moments afterwards the elevator doors would be sealed by a barrier of blinding light. The captain squinted as the mushroom would descend the elevator shaft once more.

"Vice-Admiral... are you alright!?" she said in a panicked voice.

Slowly but certainly, the shroom had shrunk enough that the duo were back to where the elevator had been moments earlier. Since their return to the level where Suu and Cassilda had fought, the elevator had crashed even further. They were free to descend the shaft. Ama would wait and see for a moment to see how Suu was holding up.

"Vice-Admiral... I abandoned you... I couldn't face that thing, it cut me off from you. I had no other option but to descend the shaft. Then... then I saw that strange... thing that saved you... We must press on. Can you still fight?"

A tone of humility and regret was clearly present in Amanda's words. She glanced over the edge of the mushroom. The way was clear, but she wouldn't continue unless Suu said she could. In the meantime, more spores were released from her body, drifting slowly downwards to form new mushroom platforms for them to descend on. She'd also grow jelly fungus on her arm. She wasn't sure if these would help to strengthen Suu, but you never know.

    Down the Shaft
    Suu, Amanita

Suu had come up with an escape plan and executed it. She managed to slip overhead of Cassilda. Her path to the elevator shaft was clear. Suu was a lot smaller now. If one didn't know better they'd assume she were a child. Regardless, Suu was free from the current dangers. She'd dive into the elevator shaft, and to her surprise she'd run into Amanita, along with another person whom she did not recognize. The shaft would soon be closed off by a bright light. Amanita would ask if Suu is alright.

    Suu will live.

She would say calmly. Suu would look into Amanita's eyes before quickly hugging the Captain and continuing to speak.

Suu thought you died... What happened?

Amanita would go on to explain that she abandoned Suu and that she was cut off and managed to find someone, or something that could help. Suu would pat Amanita on the head before responding to the captain. While Suu was taken aback a bit hearing that Amanita had abandoned her, she also fully realized that Amanita was up against things that no captain should ever face. Suu's response came softly.

It's okay. You did your best. Suu knows you tried.

Finally Suu would respond to Amanita's question. Could she still fight? Suu's face would flush with resolve as she readied herself to descend the shaft.

    Suu can still fight.

More platforms would be made and the path was clear. Amanita would also create some Jelly Fungus for Suu. The slime would thank Amanita and begin to eat it. While it would take some time, the enzymes in Suu's body could break it down for nutrients. Suu could create more slime, but it wouldn't be instant. Just as a human body takes time to heal, so too does a slime. The path forward was clear. Suu would begin to descend deeper into the moon base. Down the elevator shaft she went.

    Against an Entire Nation
    Mr Torgue

Torgue pushed back against the brains, and at first it seemed to prove fruitful to target them with his conqueror's haki. But one was away from the rest, and that last one did for its brethren what the whole did for the rest of the evolvers, and held them together. Torgue was still locked in his raging aneurism, and it seemed that he wouldn't be able to break out of it. He was done for.

But fate played a strange hand. Out of seemingly nowhere, an elevator came flying out, and crushed the one brain evolver holding the others together. Torgue's aneurism had lifted to the point that he was no longer crippled, and he had a chance to fight back. And amongst the devestation, there was a hole left over by where the elevator had crushed the brain. Elevator hit elevator, and there was a way forward. Torgue remembered back to Blank's speech, how he was going to let him fight, but instead left him to his nation of evolvers.

Torgue had a choice - continue fighting the nation, something that his pride demanded and by his logic would make sense if he were to destroy the army before it made it to earth. The other option was to move on, find Blank and put an end to him. Could he really take on an entire nation of evolvers by himself? Given with how easily he had been stopped in Gear Four, it didn't seem likely.

Torgue remembered the previous words of the unknown man when he was fighting in darkness. There was more at stake than just himself. If he was going to be a leader that the marines needed, he had to stop being selfish. A grown up decision.

Torgue made a mad dash to the hole left by the elevators, dissipating his Gear Four and making his way down the shaft. He couldn't fight an entire nation by himself. He needed to regroup with his party, find Blank, and find a way off the moon back to Earth.

The descent was slow and steady for the duo of slime and shroom. Ama would attempt to feed Suu, to give her body volume it had lost. A good attempt, as they had time. Eventuality would bring profit, the light at the end of the tunnel growing brighter still.

The room that had held Xi and the elevator that had hindered Ama were both gone. A door closed, perhaps. A shaft claiming its machinery, may chance. Signs of a large man using the walls for stops could be seen, but no details as to who. The sound of life forms teeming and teething, at the bottom of the shaft, would begin to ring.

Soon, the duo would see what Cage was seeing, with Cage handling his descent of several stories below. They would see Torgue, and they would see the army.

    Hype
Down the shaft he went, Cage bidding farewell as he did best. Xi would not nod, but he did at least pause, before returning to what he was doing. The fall was going to be a long one for the strong man, as the elevator went deep.

Once light opened and Cage could see, he could see that he was in for a fall. No walls to cling to, it was a mass open arena that was more a hangar than a battle ground. Only a battleground, because underfoot, Cage could see where the elevator was to go, and it was but a gaping hole. Explosions ring, and Cage would finally be with Torgue, if only in the same room.

However, Cage had a good fall ahead of him. One of those from a few stories high. Maybe ten to twelve.

To greet him below, four massive monsters named Tyrants, their glory to be seen in the front page archive. Beyond them, thousands. Thousands of small insectoid monsters, small only because Cage was so far away. Bigger they became, and they would appear the size of men. Some had strange arm cannons, others scythes. Slithering snake like creatures and those that Cage fought earlier were also int he ranks. This was a literal army, with groupings that suggest battalions, all eager to fight.

    Then there was Torgue.

    Ace - Everyone
Torgue made way for the elevator that had opened. Perhaps he did not see those falling from above when he charged, but he knew he had no chance. None of them did. Thousands against four, hardy, injured souls. The truest form of despair, to be so equipped yet never truly be ready.

In his way, Torgue had the five Tyrants. The club equipped Tyrant would charge in front of Torgue's own dash, swinging two right handed clubs in tandem at Torgue's midsection while charging through. Powerful, the Tyrant aimed to deny Torgue his escape. The other four, looking with their cannons, would train them on Torgue, only to look above to see interruptions.

Falling first was Cage. The air and the drop was not friendly to the man, his mobility airborne limited. Three Tyrants, their strange arm cannons trained on Cage, fired repetitive blasts at him. The green goop that was their bio bullets aimed to pierce Cage in his legs, forcing him to flip forward if hit, all by the force. It did not help these missile-like bullets were massive globs of nasty acid, aiming for his stone flesh. The bio guns would focus Cage, as the fourth ranged tyrant called out to its platoons.

Behind Cage came Suu and Ama, together as one. The Tyrant that did not attack Torgue nor Cage would point to them, and a volley from its ranks came. The small grunts, similar to the scythe boys Ama and Suu fought earlier, fired their bio arm cannons skywards. Actual bullets of acid, they aimed to proliferate Suu and Ama as they fell.

As they fell, as Cage, Suu and Ama joined Torgue in his escape, the brain bugs were in a panic. They did not target Torgue, and they did not make to target the other three falling. Instead, their animal eyes looked beyond, to the hole that the group was falling from. A fourth thing was coming, its presence angry.

Everyone - An Army of Bugs

Amanda and Suu had, at long last, rejoined their allies. Suu was slowly regaining mass thanks to Ama's jelly fungus, but it was a slow process. It took time. Time they, evidently, did not have. They had reached the bottom of the elevator shaft. Before them; Rear-Admiral Cage. They saw what he saw. An army of insects before them, similar to the ones they had faced before. Ama's wounded leg stung for a moment, a painful reminder of their previous encounter with these many-legged terrors. Ama scanned the room; massive bipedal creatures seemingly functioned as the commanders. Cage in front of them, and charging at them:

    "T... T... Torgue-SAMAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA AAAAAAAAAAA"

Blood spouting from her nose. She fell backwards, only to regain consciousness mere seconds later.

"Vice-Admiral, we simply MUST help Torgue-sama!"

Amanda, focused on Torgue and the wave of bugs coming at them, saw the rain of acid coming at them.

"Vice-Admiral, I'll get the bugs! You take care of the acid!"

That being said, Amanda raised both arms, aiming both palms at the wave of bugs. A massive wave of deeply poisonous spores launched at the wave. Amanda made sure to avoid her allies as she released the wave. Hopefully, Suu would be able to deal with the volley of acid coming their way.

    Battle of the Bugs
    Amanita, Torgue, Cage, Suu

Slowly the duo of marines made their way down the elevator shaft. Suu could be seen munching on some fungus in order to regain her strength. It would help, but the loss of mass was too much to fix in this short amount of time. Eventually Amanita and Suu made it to the bottom of the shaft. The sound of bugs could be heard at the bottom. The shaft would eventually open up to a fall. A large hangar that served as an arena. Amanita and Suu would begin their fall into the battle.

Then came the assault. Bugs would open fire upon the marines making their decent downward. Amanita would begin to give orders. Suu would let it slide, mostly because she agreed with what was said. Suu would handle the projectiles, Amanita would focus on the bugs. Amanita would unleash spores towards the bugs. Suu on the other hand would focus on the oncoming projectiles. Quickly Suu would expand her body outward, flattening it and spreading it outward. She more resembled a tarp than a person. Her goal was simple, make herself a wall in order to catch the acid bullets. If successful, she would assimilate the acid into her body and take on its properties.

    You will burn!

Suu's body would shift back into a humanoid shape as she spoke. Once she was finished speaking, the slime would vomit a beam of acidic slime towards some of the bugs. This beam would contain the majority of Suu's body mass, leaving behind a small slime at the origin. Wherever the beam would hit, it would form back into a humanoid form. Suu was ready to fight.

    Against an Entire Nation
    Amanda, Suu, Cage, Torgue

Torgue's body ached and his head still throbbed painfully from the brain evolvers' previous attacks on his mind. He made his dash to the elevator shaft to escape, but one of the four tyrants blocked his path. Giant bone clubs were its choice of weapon in this bout, like the tyrant upstairs. They charged at eachother, the tyrant swinging two clubs from its right at the same time.

Torgue took the daring path, which was straight forward. His own strength and abilities were handicapped at the moment, a mix between the side effects of his fourth gear and his throbbing migraine. Still, he exploded his legs and launched himself straight forward at the club tyrant's chest. To throw off an opponent's rhythm, take a step forward, or at least that was his thought process. He aimed to fly past the striking area of the clubs and hit the tyrant in its face with his body. Torgue clad his ramming right shoulder with armaments, using his body weight and momentum to try and knock the tyrant back.

It was around this time that the party was all reuniting together, and the remainder of the tyrants that originally had their guns trained on Torgue were now training them on the newcomers to the level. Amanda, Cage, and Suu were falling down after the elevator that had squashed one of the brain evolvers. The band was back together. Torgue also noticed that there was something coming behind the rest of the party through the shaft, but he had no clue what it was. With the party coming through, Torgue was now trying to rendezvous with them, given that his previous body missile against the club tyrant was successful.

    Pest Control
    Amanita, Suu, Torgue, Cage

The dive from the elevator shaft was a long one, longer than Cage had anticipated. He had ridden the walls to slow the momentum, but such an option woud soon run thin, as the elevator shaft ended, and an open space began. No longer could the brute halt his fall, and even worse, the brute would be under fire. The trouble that Xi had spoke of was upon Cage, and Torgue was seemingly in the middle of it. Finally everything that Xi had said was making sence. Cage would have to vault into action to save himself and also to aid Torgue and the others.

"Looks like ****'s gonna get serious from now on..."

Cage looked down and saw massive creatures, including the snake-like creatures he faced in the trash compactor. Where was Madame Red when you need her?? Cage would have to do the work this time, which meant he'd need to be stronger than he was before. The fall would be damaging, but what was even worse was the brute was being fired upon by Large creatures with cannon-arms. The gift from Xi in his left hand, Cage would extend his right. The muscle in his right arm began to build, and build, and build. The arm grew in both girth and length reaching the size of a small giant's. This is all Cage needed.

"A brotha's gonna get Serious too. Gear Third!"

Cage's arm had grown exponentially, gripping into the hole he had come from, and using the momentum to swing him forward away from the projectiles. A flip would turn into rotations, and rotations would force Cage into a human boulder. This was one of the perks of being a Goron. However, with his Gear Third activated, the Cage Sphere was growing and growing. His whole body was giant, and now it was condenced into a ball od rotation and power. Graving now aided Cage as he aimed to fall down toward the insectoid army like a meteor. Whatever Pain Cage would have to endure for this crash, he was willing to endure it. With Cage, every bit of pain came with a tradeoff, and this would cause massive damage within the area of landing
