I landed on "Wagaya no Rekishi" following lead-actress Kou Shibasaki from taiga-drama "Onna Joshu Naotora" .
In the latter she plays warlord Naotora in a convincing way, full of ambitions, fears and doubts.

"Wagaya no Rekishi" follows the small adventures of the Yame-family right after WW2, as seen through the eyes of a child.
It is a fictional family, trying to get by in that difficult period.
Although things do happen, it is a warm drama, thanks to humble mom (Kou Shibasaki as ) Masako Yame.
Lot's of comedy, with the newspapers reporting sensations from the US.
