    [Beowulf | Sai]

Beowulf floated mid-air, at eye-level. He had levied questions towards the owner of the casino, who promptly stood and snarked at the dwarf. The man spoke fire, and the Allfather raised his head in defiance. Not used to be spoken that was, as the King, the dwarf's killing intent intensified. However, a voice broke the tension, as the woman once named interjected with an apology. She proffered information. The dwarf nodded at the owner of the casino, almost sarcastically hostile. The dwarf slowly floated towards the other side of the room, where Bria waited.

The woman spoke of her service industry, before AI interjected. The cultists were two, and they were within grasp. One against another, both being ones of fiction. Bad for business, Bria noted - that was the reason for the mission. Santa Destroy.

"To call of 'Beowulf', I respond. Pleasantries."- the King introduced himself

Cloaked by a mask and by name, Beowulf followed. The old man would float to Sai's right shoulder, before requesting transport. There, he complained he was old, and needed much help. If obliged, Beowulf would sit on Sai's shoulder, and off they went. The dwarf preferred people in the dark, so to speak, as he was. Long years of treason was a hard teacher. If Sai would disallow, Beowulf would sit in one of the spheres. Beowulf did not ask any more questions, though he would respond to any towards him.

Off they went, to Santa Destroy. What could be awaiting them in the occult?

    [Beowulf | Sai]

Sai would frown as the woman would explain pretty much everything he had already heard so far. But when she mentioned Santa Destroy, that is when the former samurai's ears perked up. That was where Sai had been planning to go in search of his missing crewmate, Julian. It didn't exactly take much convincing for Sai to follow Al and Bria out of the casino into the allyway. There Bria seemed to be sitting upon some kind of contraption, with only one other seat for the man to sit upon. Frowning again he turned to Jhin.

Stay here and keep your ear to the wall for any clues we might need. Lets try to stay in touch while we can. I'm going to Santa Destroy.

Behind the mask Jhin would smile. He would shift his weight to the left a bit as he would cross his arms. He knew that it would be trouble trying to get his captain to let him go instead, so all he could do was simply let out an exasperated sigh.

Fine. Just don't destroy anything while I'm away.

Nodding, Sai would make his way onto the seat beside Bria. He would hear the dwarf called Beowulf beside him, floating slightly. The old dwarf would ask for his shoulder, something that Sai would obviously oblige. The last thing he would do was go against the tradition of helping old people when they needed it. He would nod to Beowulf and told him that he was welcome to use his shoulder as much as he liked, just that he hoped Beowulf would know what to do if it got too hot. He would sit in silence for a bit before asking the dwarf where he was from, as his dialect was a bit different to what Sai was used to. After listening to the dwarfs response, he would turn to Bria.

How long will this journey be? Also have you heard anything about merfolk being sold in these parts?

Eris would find the shadow a wonderful wind breaker. The wind would not touch it, the umbra more than ample at keeping the whipping cold at bay. This did not work for the universal cold of the land, which would begin to sap the heat from the group. Slowly it drained them, and slowly it would continue.

Cold, monotone, but working hard was a maid that Eris had thoughts for. Gentle thoughts of kindness, as she handed the towel to the maid. The maid would wrap it around her back, accepting the gift, her tone uneventful in the acceptance.

"Thank you. Please visit the cafe if you are cold."

Not a beat was lost, it'd seem. A good worker, putting the cafe forward without thought. Eirs was given thanks, and was allowed to move one in the cold. Tilting her head as she stared at Kilgrave, the maid was confused by the handshake that she was given. A trade had occurred, with Kil taking the pamphlet she had more than enough of to give. However, the ring was something different, the faint whispers from Kil awkward. The maid only looked at the ring, before wrapping the towel she was given from Eris around her hand. That much of the command has passed to her, to hide that ring.

"Odd... I guess it seems sensible. Stay warm, sir."

Stay warm. Coming from her, Kil would hear a bizarre command. A detail he'd gleam from the maid was her cold hands. Blood pumping through bodies should keep one warm, even in this frigid landscape, but she had nothing of heat in any of her digits. Steel or death shared a similar feeling of temperature, leaving Kilgrave to ponder that note he was given, if he so choose to.

The maid's eyes lingered on the group, before turning to others who passed her. A long gaze, perhaps too long. She'd soon disappear in the crowd and snow, to be forgotten as the group moved forward.

The group moved through the cold, the temperature sapping away with every step. Lights, neon and bright, begin to flicker through the streets, reflecting off the snow. The group was getting into a trade district, surrounded by tubes that funneled steam and hot houses that served meager rations. The rich district was close.

A call from one of the neon establishments would halt Puppy who lead. The call was off, Puppy almost ignoring it, but he was merely delayed as he turned to face the offense. Coming from a cafe, a strange little cafe that was listed on a flier from a certain maid, was a woman whose eyes were read, silver hair, and was wearing orange sunglasses despite there being little sun this deep in the snow and mire of metal megastructures.

"Hey-o! Hey, you! You look familiar. Stay awhile, won't you?"

The woman was specifically calling out for Puppy, who was now looking curiously onto this new person. The acquaintance left Puppy obviously confused, his head tilted, his right hand slowly reaching to his left side. The woman, seeing this, stopped with a skid through the snow, raising her arms and keeping her hands flat. Clearly, she was signaling some sort of peace.

Something had alerted Ni, as the tiny woman who had so far been seemingly unaffected by the cold now turned to face the sky. There, her eyes were trained on the dark of the metal structures, as if something was coming from above. Her motions were more than obcious. Obvious, but ignored by Puppy, who kept his hand on his gun as he looked at the new person.

"Who the **** are you?" Puppy said, his awfully feminine Hispanic voice demanding in an irate tone.

"I figured I kne-knew you from so-somewhere! I-I hope I didn't offend." The woman said, her eyes showing worry as sweat froze to her forehead.

Gondola Town Igneous (East) - Toyo and the Boar Hut Pirates - Toyo's Quest for a rank 1 sword

Gondolas were going up and down the cliff and the Town of Igneous was bustling with activity. Fishermen were sailing out to see emptyhanded and coming back with nets full of fish, breathing life into the market of this big ol' town. The top level, situated on the island plateau, was especially full with people - trade of food being the main cause of the ruckus. In front of one particular stand was a tall man of white hair, pointy sharp teeth, a long nose and red skin. He was a Fishman, named Buranchi. He was buying fish for lunch. However, his loudness drowned even the noise of the market.

''HUH?! The'hell ya mean the Boroing Fish has da' most tender meat o' em all?!

Are'ya a rookie or what?! I ain' givin' you more than 2 coins fer that! Yer lucky I'm even buyin' any!
    ''

Buranchi said, causing the merchant to grit his teeth in frustration and anger. He slammed his fist onto the table and yelled out his offer.

    ''3 coins then, you brat!''

''Huuuuuh?! The hell's wrong wit'you, ya old fart! 3 coins and ya add one of them Kuzoi Fish in there as well!''

Buranchi retorted, the merchant pulling on his own hair in frustration at this point.

    ''Tsch, fine damn it!''

The merchant said, and Buranchi's right arm came swiping forward with great speed. He grabbed the three Boroing Fish that were part of the deal, and the added Kuzoi Fish, and left 2 coins on the table. Walking away slightly annoyed, Buranchi had attracted quite a lot of attention from the onlookers.

    Kilgrave - Winterhome

Kilgrave's sleight of hand had been succesful. The green ring firmly stuck around the maid's fingers, and naturally, she did as he asked by wrapping the towel around the ring to hide it from view. Kilgrave, satisfied with himself, stuffed the pamphlet in his coat's chestpocket rather unefficiently. Some pushing and prodding was required, but the crumpled pamphlet was now secure in his pocket. He turned back towards the others and walked towards them. They were free to continue onwards. Kilgrave's eyes lingered on the maid briefly as he turned his head while walking. Her fingers had felt... odd. Unfortunately, there was no time to ponder this further, as the crew was on its way towards their destination already.

As they moved onwards, their surroundings began to change. Simple cafés made way to massive superstructures of metal and concrete, with neon lighting illuminating their every step. The snow here was, like mostly everywhere, a brilliant white. They were getting closer and closer towards the district where the wealthy members of Winterhome resided. Kilgrave had pulled up his scarf even further; the cold here seemed worse than on the edge of town. Just as they were making a nice bit of progress, the group, or at least puppy, was stopped. A woman from a nearby establishment called out to the masked man, and he didn't seem to like it one bit. Kilgrave took his right hand from his jelly filled pocket, snapping twice at Puppy.

    "Let's keep it moving pal."

Only now did Kilgrave get a proper look at the woman who called out to Puppy. She looked strangely frightened after the latter's response. It felt common; like something one would say to distract them.

"I got a bad feeling about this. Do what you're gonna do and be done with it." He said to Puppy, his eyes constantly shifting to look at his surroundings.

Gondola Town Igneous (East) - Toyo and the Boar Hut Pirates - Toyo's Quest for a rank 1 sword

Just a short time ago Tenguman had left the Ironbeard pirates and rejoined the ranks of the marines. His mission was over, as he could not find a single trace of Ragnarok that was left. The decision was hard, since he had grown fond of most parts of the crew. However since the joining of some recent members, he had more and more disliked the crew had developed. And as a marine, he also had unfinished business to account for.

He was now patroulling the gondola town Ingenous with a small group of marine soldiers in his trace. Eventually they reached the market, where a certain individual was loudly negotiating was a vendor. This in itself was no crime, however Genji was attracted by the persons appearance. Red skin, sharp teeth, a long nose and white spicky hair - he looked like a Tengu. Eventually Genji halted in front of Buranchi. He wore his black samurai armor, however his white cloak that hung around his shoulders unmistakebly identified him as a marine.

"A Tengu outside the empire eh? You must be an exile aswell!"

OOC: Gonna use Orange for Tenguman. Two characters with red lines would be to confusing

Buranchi was walking away from the vendor with his bag of fish in hand when an interesting looking man suddenly showed up right in front of him. That man was Tenguman, a Tengu, as his name suggested, and he looked very similar to Buranchi himself. Tenguman wore an armor, but a Marine Coat was also hanging off of his shoulders, giving away his affiliation immediately. Tenguman spoke to Buranchi, referring to him as a Tengu and saying that he must be a fellow exile, since he was roaming around outside the Empire. Hearing Tenguman's words, Buranchi looked at Tenguman from bottom to top, top to bottom, as if sizing him up. Little did Tenguman know, Buranchi was, actually, sizing him up, using Kenbun-shoku no Haki.

    ''Hmm, strong...
    Too bad he's one'a them guys, can't use'em...
    ''

    Buranchi said, whispering to himself.

''Though, now that I think 'bout it...''

Buranchi said, still whispering to himself, before suddenly speaking louder, now to Tenguman.

    ''Ohhh, a fellow Tengu ain'tcha?!
Good to see ya, been a'while since I've seen one'a us!
    ''

Buranchi said, walking up to Tenguman and offering a handshake.

    ''Yer a Marine ain'tcha?
Come with me, I got a favor to ask o'ya.
    ''

Buranchi said, walking past Tenguman and asking him to tag along. If Tenguman did, the two would traverse the market place until they eventually reached an inn. Going past the front desk and up to the second floor, Buranchi would open the door leading into his room.

''I'm stayin' her fer a while...
    Want some fish?
    ''

Buranchi said, getting out a frying pan and some oil.

Buranchi scanned the Read-Admiral using mantra. If his mantra was well enough, he'd notice something strange. Two auras emitted from Tenguman. One was undoubtly his own and the second was seemingly just behind him. If Buranchi had not noticed by now, he'd see a big golden sword handle coming up behind Tengumans shoulder. Part of the handle was a big cross guard. In fact, it was Yoru. Buranchi offered a handshake and Tenguman answered it.

"I'm Read-Admiral Genji Musashi. Pleased to meet you? How should I call you?"

Eventually Buranchi would state his name, or an alias of sorts. Still, Tenguman would agree to follow the red skinned man into the inn. Buranchi was seemingly beginging to cook something, if there was a table of sorts, Tenguman would unmount his sword from his back, lean it against the table and sit down.

"Sure. I've only had marine rations for a while now .... they are terrible. So what did you do to get kicked out?"

  9. #29
Genji introduced himself, and Buranchi answered in kind, giving his name. From there, the two men traversed the market place until they reached the inn where Buranchi was staying. His place was pretty basic. It was one room that was empty, with nothing but a small round table in the middle of the room, and two blankets on the floor to sit down on while eating. There was a small kitchen, of course, which Buranchi was using to prepare the fish. His preparations were quick, and seemed very basic. Little did Genji know, Buranchi was an extremely skilled cook, and the seasoning that he used on the fish would make it taste better than most of the things Genji has had the pleasure to eat in his life. Buranchi served the fish with some vegetables on the side and sat down across from Genji.

''Let's just say my carelessness caused an important person to die.''

Buranchi said. It was obviously made up, as he didn't actually get kicked out, but that was not something he was ready to reveal.

''I'd rather leave the details alone, the whole incident is still something I'm getting over.''

Buranchi said, already eating his meal.

''I said I had a favor to ask of you, so here it is...
... There's a certain pirate group that's been really bothering me, and since you're a Marine, I'd like to ask your assistance in bringing them down...

They bear the flag of Captain Gong... the Angry Bull Pirates.
    ''

Genji would know the pirates by name, as they had a combined bounty of over 1 billion, but whether he had ever run into any one of them remained to be seen. Would Genji take on Buranchi's request, or would their meeting end over the simple meal?

    Santa Destroy (West)

In was hot in that day when he had to mine for more silver and the beautiful onyx jewels that his hometown was apart of. And he was irritated. Their king was a noble. And a fool. Who hid the fact that many slaves were being used to mine everything. The boy didn't have the mark but felt like one no less. The cracks of whips were like thunder to him. He had gotten used to it. As he wiped the sweat off of his brow, he noticed it was more sudden. More cries of pain. He was seeing red. "Stop." More red. "Stop." It covered his eyes. "Leave them alone!"

A person had just arrived in the small town of Santa Destroy as she also appeared to be disguised as an outlaw of sorts. She seemed to be be searching for someone, but to no avail. Having managed to not find a spot in quite some time, she sighed in annoyance. There was no way she was going to find any information here. She noticed a couple of bandits had eyed her. She decided to go into a tavern and immediately was met with a gazes across several town folk. But she also noticed bounty hunters. Desperate men. One of the bartenders noticed the young girl come in.

"Hmph. You new in town, too? If you got the cash, I can offer you a drink. If you can't, piss off.
I don't serve poor folk here."

The young girl with black hair seemed to simply stare at him before pointing at one of the bottles of whiskey behind him. Puzzled, he looked over before he saw her pull out a wad of cash. Simply taking as he handed her a glass of whiskey to drink, she snatched to drink until the hoodlums that had eyed her before seemed to have also made their way into the place as they searched her and one of them seemed to be quite interested in her as he stared at her body in a lewd fashion.

"Hehehehe. Yo, woman. You're looking quite fine today...! How about...?"

She seemed to ignore the man and it cuts to within a few minutes later, she pulled out a bounty poster for the bartender and pointed directly on the picture, lightly tapping it. The bartender himself seemed to understand enough what she wanted. It wasn't very good news.

"Ah. I see. You're looking for that man. Truth is, he's been gone for several months. No one's seen any sign of him. Most people used to follow that guy and his activities. But he's gone off the grid. No one knows where he's gone. I'm afraid I cannot help you. Oh. And you should check yourself and your pal out here too."

It turns out, that the girl had been stabbed during those few minutes she had when the hoodlum had confronted her with his friends but she didn't seem to feel any pain in the slightest. Rather, it was almost as it was nothing to her. She seemed to have heavily wounded the man with another knife she had pulled from his pocket as the knife had penetrated his stomach. A doll suddenly popped out from his back as she left the tavern before grabbing the man and dragging him out with her before she casually threw him on the hard desert ground before she walked away...who, or what was she...?
